Quick Knit Cowl Neck Warmer | free knitting pattern

About the Quick Knit Cowl / Neck Warmer:
This cowl/neck warmer is a must have for the winter! Not only is it made with chunky/thick yarn, but it can be folded over to provide double the warmth. This is a very quick knit and perfect for beginner knitters. The entire scarf consists of a 1x1 ribbed pattern which can be completed with the simple knit and purl stitches (watch the knit stitch 'how to' tutorial herepurl stitch tutorial here).  My scarf ended up being about 22 inches in circumference & about 9.5 inches in width. I chose to use a bold red color to contrast the (at times) dreary winter days.

Materials I Used:
- 16'' US size 15 circular needles
- Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn (color: cranberry); 1 skein (108 yards)

December Seed Stitch Infinity Circle Scarf [ free knitting pattern ]

About the December Seed Stitch Infinity Circle Scarf:
I love infinity circle scarves and I also love knitting with chunky yarn -- so this is probably one of my favorite projects thus far! I decided to go with the seed stitch to give the scarf a textured pattern. This is a great scarf pattern for beginner knitters since it is not only easy/quick to knit with chunky yarn, but the seed stitch can be knit up with just two basic stitches: knit and purl (watch the knit stitch 'how to' tutorial here, and the purl stitch tutorial here).
My scarf ended up being about 48 inches in circumference and 6 inches in width, thus allowing it to comfortably wrap around twice and provide ultimate warmth during the winter months.

Materials I Used:
- 36'' US size 15 circular needles
- Lion Brand Hometown USA (color: Dallas Grey);  ~2 skeins (~160 yards)
By the way, Lion Brand's Hometown USA is my all-time favorite yarn because it's chunky & extremely soft!

Autumn Infinity Circle Scarf (free pattern)

About the Autumn Infinity Circle Scarf:
Circle scarves are not only fashionable, but undeniably warm and cozy! This scarf has a simple ribbed pattern that can be knit up with just two stitches: knit and purl (watch the knit stitch 'how to' tutorial here, and the purl stitch tutorial here).  The yarn I chose to use is a beautiful earth-tone brown, thus, I decided to call this the "Autumn Infinity Circle Scarf".  My scarf ended up being about 52 inches in circumference, making it long enough to wrap around twice for some extra warmth ;).

Materials I Used:
- Bernat Satin  (color: sable); 1.5 skeins (~250 yards)
- 36'' circular needles US size 9

The Autumn Infinity Circle Scarf Pattern:
[ If new to knitting, watch a video about how to follow knitting patterns here ]
Using 36'' US 9 circular needles, cast on 260 stitches.
For each round: *K2, P2*
Keep knitting in the round until desired size. I went on for 35 rounds.
Bind off.

Abbreviations used in this pattern:
K2= knit two stitches
P2 = purl two stitches
